Oakland Truck Accident Shuts Down I-880

By Kelly Balamuth on September 14, 2015

On September 7th around 12:06 a.m. a Chevrolet truck traveling on southbound I-880, where it transitions onto Highway 238, crashed into a utility pole. High-voltage wires were knocked down, starting a small blaze that firefighters were able to put out quickly. The truck accident cleanup closed the busy interchange for most of the day while crews repaired the lines. The truck contained two adults and two children. Their conditions are unknown and the crash is under investigation.

An accident caused by the negligence of others can change the course of the lives of the victims and their loved ones forever. There is a general understanding that personal injury cases involve the injured party directly, but there may also be unforeseen, indirect injuries that the victim’s loved ones suffer.

Regardless of the injuries, there could be catastrophic medical bills from surgeries, home healthcare, medication, and other injury-related expenses. The victims and their family must also contend with lost wages, specialized transportation and other significant costs.

If you or a loved one sustains an injury in an accident, the Oakland truck accident lawyers at Balamuth Law may be able to get the financial compensation you deserve.
